ASIAN BLEPHAROPLASTY
Asian blepharoplasty is used to widen and westernize the eyes. It can give you doe eyes without altering the rest of your face.
Overview
Generally, the operation consists of creating a crease on the eyelid. Sometimes, it is also preferable to remove the skin fold covering the inner edge of the eye, called the epicanthus, and to reduce the thickness of the upper eyelid to make the eye appear larger.
Is it for you?
This procedure is the best treatment for patients whose eyes appear very small or almost closed because of the position of their upper eyelid. The benefits resulting from this operation are then very significant.
Technique
Stitches are made on specific points to create a crease on the upper eyelid, between the aponeurosis of the eyelid muscle and the skin. This creates a crease approximately 7mm away from the eyelashes, apparent when the eye is open.
Procedure
This procedure lasts about an hour and is done under local anesthesia either at the office surgery or at the clinic.
After the operation
It may take up to a week for all marks to be completely gone, so remember to put your
sunglasses on.
