SOFT LIPOSUCTION
Soft liposuction allows for the removal of small quantities of excess fat in various parts of the body and for an immediate recovery.
Overview
Liposuction has been proven to be effective to remove excess fat, but it generally causes pain and bruises and sometimes lacks precision, which is why I often use a soft liposuction technique.
Is it for you?
If you have a normal weight for your height (a Body Mass Index between 18.5 and 25) but are bothered by slight fat excess in certain areas of your body, soft liposuction is the ideal treatment for you. The treated areas have to be limited in size and no more than four areas can be treated in one surgery. Soft liposuction is best adapted for delicate areas like ankles, inner thighs, or asymmetries.
Technique
Excess fat is removed with a tiny rod and syringe that suction out the tissue with significantly less force than the machine used for larger amounts of fats in standard liposuctions. The excess fat can then be used for a lipofilling to improve the shape of cheeks or breasts. The skin is not damaged and even looks more firm due to its retraction.
Procedure
The operation is done at the office, which is equipped with an operating room. The procedure is conducted under local anesthesia and lasts about two hours. You are awake during the entire intervention, but the only painful moment is the injection of the anesthetics. You can relax and listen to some music while I conduct the liposuction.
After the operation
You can go back to work the day following the procedure but will have to wear a compression sleeve for a week. You can easily reduce the pain from minor bruises with a simple analgesic and can resume physical activities about 10 days after the operation.
