Micro invasive surgery, such as hyaluronic acid injections, allows patients to get rid of a facial flaw in less than an hour for an affordable price, with no risks involved. When used properly, hyaluronic acid can remodel a face, modify the shape of a nose or a chin and erase wrinkles.
Hyaluronic acid is a large molecule that was first discovered in 1934, in the vitreous humor of the eyes of a bull. This molecular structure is also found in other animals, in humans, and even in plants. Its ability to absorb water allows it to be used for the treatment of many different tissues, like for example cataract surgery, joint conditions, vocal cord anomalies or vesicoureteral reflux in children.
In cosmetic medicine, the lifespan and volumizing abilities of hyaluronic acid were improved to increase its effectiveness with reducing wrinkles, remodeling facial volumes, and increasing hydration.
Hyaluronic acid is fully biodegradable, biocompatible and nonspecific (does not require allergy testing). Its side effects and complications are extremely rare and well-known, as this product has been used in cosmetic medicine since 1955.

1- FILLING

The naso-labial fold starts from the wings of the nose and goes down to the corners of the mouth. WIth time, it is combined with the bitterness fold, which starts from the corners of the mouth and goes down to the chin.
Filling these folds can yield impressive results.
Frown lines are wrinkles that form between the eyebrows when we frown. They can be reduced using either Botox or hyaluronic acid, depending on what is most adapted for the patient. Over time, skin loses its elasticity, in which case a Botox-only treatment has to be combined with hyaluronic acid injections.

After conducting a careful examination and taking a few pictures, we can proceed to the treatment. Depending on the case, the injections can be administered after applying a numbing cream or injecting an anesthetic, but most treatments do not require any anesthesia.

The choice of a hyaluronic acid treatment depends on the degree of crosslinking adapted to different locations. The procedure does not leave any marks or scars, although mild redness can appear on very sensitive skin and typically goes away in a few hours. Depending on the location and quantity of product injected, bruises can appear the next day, which I will of course tell you about if that is your case.
The results are immediately visible and most patients are able to resume their daily activities right after the procedure. A follow-up appointment is recommended between the first and third week following the procedure to verify the results and manage them if necessary.
