A physiological serum and an anaesthetic are first injected into the fat to make it more fluid.
A very small tube is then inserted into the desired area in order to suck in the excess fat. The procedure is generally conducted under local anaesthesia and lasts between 30 to 60 minutes depending on the amount of fat being removed.
You can usually go home immediately after the procedure or a few hours later. Dressing will be placed on your neck to reduce swelling. Bruises may be visible for up to a week.
